More Than

For the fearless, loud, and proudly difficult women who pave the way for us to be anything and everything we want to be.

The fitness industry is typically one that does not acknowledge gender equity, women are often trained as “small men” hormone cycles, postpartum changes and menopause are frequently dismissed or athletes are encouraged to ignore their unique biology because of an industry that has been unwilling to develop new strategies, research and training modalities that allow people to work alongside their biology rather than against it. Gym spaces are often very masculine in energy, intimidating and off-putting for those outside of the privilege of an industry that was created by and for them.

To mark IWD this year we wanted to continue to challenge that narrative and elevate women in athleticism. We collaborated with female-led media businesses and worked with semi-professional to everyday athletes, to bring you a story, not about one woman but about how all women are more than what society tells them they need to be, we hope that you see a version of yourself within it and that it lights the fire in your belly to continue the fight for a gender equal world.

Please enjoy...
